As the olive harvest began in 2010, Yesh Din published a data sheet about the investigations into incidents of vandalism of Palestinian-owned olive trees in the West Bank.
In the five years since the organization was established, Yesh Din monitored 97 incidents of vandalism of Palestinian-owned olive trees in the West Bank that were under investigation by the Samaria and Judea (SJ) District Police. In most cases, olive trees are vandalized, but other trees have also been damaged as well, such as almond, lemon and others.
As of the report’s publication, not a single one of the 97 cases that Yesh Din monitored led to indictments against those suspected of involvement in vandalizing the Palestinian-owned trees.
