Human rights organization Yesh Din is seeking an Advocacy Coordinator
This is a full-time position, including work from the Tel Aviv office and travel throughout Israel and the oPt.
Description of position: As an integral part of the organization’s public advocacy, the advocacy coordinator will be responsible for disseminating Yesh Din’s data and messaging and presenting them to targeted international and domestic audiences.
- Initiation and execution of meetings, briefings and field tours, mainly for international duty-bearers; Establishing and developing relationships and collaborations with local and international human rights communities; Writing of policy papers and regular updates for the international community (in English); Managing of Yesh Din’s Twitter account (English).
- Participation in meetings and presenting Yesh Din reports and data before Israeli policy-makers.
- This position is likely to include travel abroad for advocacy missions.
Requirements of position:
- Commitment to human rights;
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience;
- Fluency in written and oral English;
- Strong Hebrew skills, written and oral (required); Arabic language skills (advantage);
- Proven inter-personal and networking skills;
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize with minimal supervision and work independently as well as function as a member of a team is required. Attention to details is crucial;
- Familiarity with the situation in the oPt – strong advantage;
- Familiarity with international human rights and humanitarian law and the mechanisms of international forums – strong advantage.
